Benvenuti a Napoli
Teatro San Carlo
Until the 19th century, Naples was one of the largest cities in Europe. Thanks to its numerous historical buildings, the old town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. The historic Teatro San Carlo was built in 1735 by order of the Bourbon King Charles VII. With 3,300 seats, it was the largest opera house and, even before Milan's La Scala, the most prestigious in Europe and was admired for its architecture and rich furnishings alone. But the Teatro was also popular for its numerous world premieres by Bellini, Donizetti, Rossini and many others. Great tenors such as France Corelli and, of course, Enrica Caruso are among the artists of this house.
Make your visit to an opera performance a truly exclusive and unforgettable experience. We will of course be happy to help you plan your individual opera trip.
