Anna Netrebko is now much more than just the darling of the opera world: she captivates audiences around the globe and continues to earn the respect and admiration of even the most passionate and discerning opera fans. With her beautiful, dark, and distinctive voice and her stylish and attractive stage presence, the artist inspires critics and audiences alike. Since her triumphant debut at the 2002 Salzburg Festival as Donna Anna in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni, Anna Netrebko has performed at almost all major opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the San Francisco Opera, London's Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra National in Paris, the Zurich Opera House, the Berlin State Opera, and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. She also returns regularly to the Kirov Opera at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg—where she made her stage debut as Susanna in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro—to work with her long-time mentor, conductor Valery Gergiev.
