Piotr Beczala
After stops in Linz and Zurich, Polish tenor Piotr Beczała made his first international appearances in the role of Tamino in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's The Magic Flute in 1997 at the Salzburg Festival, as well as the following year at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Vienna State Opera. Today, Beczała sings at major international opera houses and is also very successful as a concert soloist. His opera repertoire ranges from Lensky in Piotr Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin to Elvino in Vincenzo Bellini's La sonnambula and Alfredo in Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata.
