Diana Damrau

German soprano Diana Damrau has been thrilling music lovers around the world with her expressive voice for over 20 years. Her career began at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg as Eliza in My Fair Lady. After stints at the National Theater Mannheim and the Frankfurt Opera, as well as numerous guest appearances at German theaters and opera houses, she now sings on the most prestigious opera stages worldwide. Damrau's extensive repertoire includes both lyric soprano and coloratura roles, including the title roles in Lucia di Lammermoor, Manon, and La traviata, as well as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the works of Mozart and Strauss. Born in Günzburg, she sings in a chamber ensemble at the Bavarian State Opera and is also in demand internationally as a lieder singer.
